me too. this may seem obvious, but I don't think it is.
A lot of people make bad choices out of fear unfortunately... they can't see things clearly in their time of desperation.

When I used to read the Tarot, I had the Rider/Waite deck but I also read a book called The 78 Degrees Of Wisdom which helped develop a more intuitive approach, working with the imagery. That was when I started to get interesting results, but I found the most important thing that happened was the exploration of thoughts and feelings that then ensued rather than what the cards actually said. The Lenormand deck looks really beautiful. It reminds me a little of the Prediction deck. For me the tarot is an extension of my natural intuitive abilities. When I teach tarot I don't teach the meaning of the cards... the cards will only scratch the surface. But something uncanny in terms of how cards can tell you what is going on is the Lenormand deck... very different to tarot, but no matter how you shuffle, you lay all the cards out and it is accurate. The person doesn't pick a card or ask a question.. it just tells you what is going on... I have to say, that I find mind boggling...

I have been looking at the wrong thing. I did an image search but the image I looked at wasn't a Lenormand deck. I'll look into this more - there seem to be so many beautiful designs. The Lenormand deck looks really beautiful. It reminds me a little of the Prediction deck.
Joy, should we interpret that word frequency literally or metaphorically?Totally agree. A friend of mine use to say, knowing tarot is a science, but reading it is an art. Anyone can know the definition of the cards or learn them/look them up... but the deep interpretation of the cards is really spirit working with your intuition working with the person asking the question....
In my companion book of the energy class I teach, I wrote this:
Every answer to every question already exists within the universal microcosm which is soul. The answers to all the greatest mysteries are held within each of us and they can be retrieved at anytime. Oracle cards and tarot cards are merely a reflection of this principle. The answers are chosen or sought out by the person who is asking the question. Same without the use of cards. There is a stronger energy vibration of the most likely occurrence of a future event. The energy is there in the universe to support the event, but what you choose to do with that energy is up to you. The process is successful because everything in the universe understands and operates perfectly through sound frequency.
When a person asks a question, the actual question or combination of words holds a certain frequency. The answer to that question has a frequency that resonates with the frequency of that question. So at the soul level or the subconscious level the person is choosing the answer that best resonates with the frequency of the question that they asked. How does one know which card resonates with their question? They feel it. They sense it. Just like one senses danger around a criminal or safety when near a saint. Our souls are continually picking up and putting out sound frequencies that are deciphered at the level of the soul.
Lenormand decks are awesome, but how they work actually still baffle me to this day!

Hi David... It is hard to say, maybe there is an exact measurement for these spiritual frequencies that we have yet discovered how to measure... and in our effort to do so, we use the tools and systems we currently have. so for right now i would say there is a range of values that have certain common energy signatures that attract people, answers, and what not to each other.Joy, should we interpret that word frequency literally or metaphorically?
My hunch would be that this isn't something that can be measured in cycles per second, but that it is perhaps something analogous in that it has a huge range of 'values' and that very similar 'psychic frequencies' can interact, just as things vibrating at very similar frequencies can interact.
Don't forget that we have lots of people here with a physical/engineering background - including yourself!
David
It sounded like fear was what made you make a good choice in your story about your ex.
I have had this impression myself. What gets me with tarot/lenormand/whatever, is that, regardless of how you read them, cards put through a randomizing process (shuffling) come up with a useful selection of symbols. Symbols seemingly specifically tailored to the situation/question, at least sometimes. This seems to be true whether the reader uses the cards with fixed meanings or as triggers for psychic riffing.
Thank you - that is informative.P.S. Brian : here's an informative interview on Lenormand.

From what I understand you say you have spirit guides. Guides as in plural. I often hear people switch back and forth between connecting to "spirit" and talking to their "spirit guides" when discussing mediumship.
So here's a question. Are these guides individual people with individual names, personalities and motives?
If so, what is their collective motive for wanting to help you? What do they get out of it? Why do they help you be a medium instead of helping you do something else?
What's the story with your guides?
