[00:00:09] That’s a clip from. I don’t know, wait a minute. Does it even matter? I mean, I think that’s the Sum of All Fears, but does it even matter. It’s just some other phony baloney orchestrated, intelligence community propaganda PSYOP, major motion, picture bullshit. And I guess if you’re uncomfortable with the idea that you’re being constantly played, manipulated by some para-political PSYOP machine that we can’t even begin to wrap our head around, then, you might have a hard time with today’s interview with Recluse. Here’s a clip.
Recluse: [00:00:55] I want people to understand the techniques, especially in terms of psychological operations that are being used.
I mean, not just so you can recognize them, but so you can learn how to use them yourself, because I mean, effectively, if we are going to have a third position or we aren’t simply going to try to sway one of the two dominant positions anymore, Just take humanitarian direction, what they’re currently geared towards.
We have to understand their techniques and their methods.

Alex,

Your 'Download' link at Skeptiko.com doesn't have the usual format, with the number 471 as part of the file name. It would be nice if you could keep to the same naming scheme.

Can't you put all the tasks required to load a new podcast into a script of some sort, so it all happens consistently on every show?

David

Rather an informative interview although I think there could have been more depth but it would have required more daring. Regarding a middle way, well first we need to understand that all of us, all members of humanity have the same goals: A roof over our heads, enough to eat and the possibility to raise a family in a world still fit to live in. At the present time for most of global humanity such aspirations are merely the stuff of dreams. Too few of us have far too much and too many have far too little. And, for the sake of money all of us remain too ignorant of what we are doing to our air and water, our wildlife and our vegetation.
Being a none cult member Christian I always go back to the 250 or so pages of the Gospels to find answers. Jesus said, "I give ye a new commandment, that ye love one another." This is the middle way. Inclusion of all of humanity in the distribution of wealth and a common concern for our planet, that it may remain healthy so that we in turn will all remain healthy. As the all knowing Son of the Source of Consciousness which we are also but to somewhat lesser degree, Jesus said, "Anything you ask of me, that I will do." Getting back to the discussion then, If we want UFO manifestation to occurr it will happen. If we want Satan to become real it will happen. The consequences of such desires become our problem. By the same token if we want such phenomenon to cease, through prayer it will. Be we yet so slow to do so, and in spite of His instruction, Jesus/Consciousness/God knows we super monkeys only learn by our mistakes.

good catch. fixed now.

I'm looking forward to listening. Recluse rocks.

I had never heard of this "Recluse" guy. I really liked him.

It sounds like he does Primary Research like Jan Irvin used to do instead of just endlessly regurgitating and rehashing the same old Conspiritainment content we've already heard like 95% of Conspiracy Podcasts do.

I subscribed to his podcast at: https://www.thefarmpodcast.com/feed.xml

One of the reasons I subscribe to Skeptiko is that Alex consistently provides me with interesting new Researchers I wasn't aware of. Very rare and valuable.

The one question I guess I tee up from this interview ...Is there a third option in this globalist global warming Communist one side and crazy right-wing Mooney neo-con or die alternative on the other.

Is there a third way, a middle way. And how do we find it?

Here's the funny part.

A Third Position already exists, and is currently under active intellectual development.

Problem is, Americans are so brain-washed by a lifetime of media indoctrination from childhood to knee-jerk slam their minds shut at the slightest hint of anything "Nazi", they won't even give Third Position a few hours of serious study and fair consideration.

Irishman Keith Woods explains why Third Position is better than the evil ideologies of Capitalism and Communism is this short 6-minute video. I challenge you to challenge your brain-washing by watching it with an Open Mind...

Peace - Fairness - Virtue - Ecology - Freedom - Health - Harmony.

Steven mentioned the UK Profumo affair.

My parents were very conservative, and sex was never really mentioned at home - or indeed on the BBC - but then, when I was just 13, suddenly the main news was full of this affair, and very embarrassing to listen to, but we all watched it without saying anything, and nobody tried to change channel! Serious satire shows were just starting up as well, and they were also saturated with the story.

what's the source / extent of their funding?

As you said in this podcast, any organic, grassroots movement which is an actual threat to the current evil system receives no funding from big donors.

Third Positionists are poor because they receive no such funding. In addition, they are banned from both credit card processors and all Paypal-type services immediately upon detection.

They subsist on listener donations via cryto-currencies, and selling silly swag like t-shirts and coffee cups.

When I hear about belief manifesting reality, or that we choose our own reality, I always wonder if time is branched. So for example, if I choose to manifest a tulpa (or whatever) and you don't, then maybe you follow one time branch and I follow another. Of course your branch of time will still contain a "David Bailey", but it won't be the "David Bailey" on my time line. So we each experience a time line through a tree (or maybe a directed graph - different times might merge again) but the relity is way more complicated!

I'm not being funny, but is that a shrine to Hank Williams in the background? I see a lamp for lighting, hands lifted in praise, and a little keyboard thingy for playing devotional ditties. Then there's the painting, of course. Or is it just me?

I very much enjoyed this interview with Recluse and it started me thinking, which I'd like to share before independence of thought becomes totally illegal in this modern era. The vulture of globalism has two wings, so choosing one or the other feathered option that we are allowed to choose from in western ersatz democracies (US, UK etc) is really no choice at all.

What really grabbed my attention was when Recluse mentioned that, 'And this is when you notice the system and the system notices you go to some of the system', because I'd just watched a talk by Dean Radin on the double slit experiment and the quantum measurement problem. Essentially, according to Radin, this is what happens when the quantum wave collapses: the observer becomes part of the same system as what is being observed. What is critical, though, is that in Radin's double slit experiments, the subjects didn't actually observe any photon beams - not physically - they were asked to imagine, or visualise, what was happening inside a sealed box. So, did the photon beam system notice that someone was visualising it?

We may tend to shrug our shoulders at the absurdity such a question, but let's just give it a second thought. Western scientific culture took a decidedly perverse turn in the seventeenth century with dualism postulated by René Descartes. Instead of a living universe, a vast chasm opened up between what he called res cogitans (aka consciousness) and res extenda (aka 3D space). Soon, scientific orthodoxy marginalised, then eliminated, consciousness and it converted 3D space into dead matter. (Actually, this was already implicit in Descartes thinking, because he thought humans were unique amongst living creatures in possessing souls and that animals were no more than mechanical automata). We've been living with the consequences of this fallacy ever since. Would we have made such a mess of our mother planet, if this error had not been planted in the collective minds of western scientific culture, I wonder? Mechanistic imagery is used unthinkingly in countless scientific papers to describe genetic processes, for instance, without a second thought. Richard Dawkins' watchmaker is indeed blind; yet it is not some god outside of a supposed machine, but the world-view of those who think there is a watch in the first place.

The idea of a parapolitical middle ground may be just a naive dream, but I like to think it's a possibility.

I don't think you get there as part of a collective though. I think it's about individuals choosing to be empathic.
I agree. I think it's about us ( even in small loosely connected numbers) finding a way towards goodness.

I suspect we encounter "Third Position" behaviour poping up all over the place - typically in small businesses and their relationships with their customers. The problem is that some of those enterprises will be more successful than others and will start to grow, and it all starts up again.

I actually suspect most or all of us here would subscribe to something like the TP as the ideal, provided it were stable and achievable without a bloodbath. Even the strongest supporters of Trump, or the strongest supporters of Biden, realise that America could be better than either of them. The argument revolves about which side will do least harm.
