Amazing Dream Coincidences, Premonitions and Assorted Wackyness

Hi all.

I am posting this thread with the intention of starting a kind of community notice board for any uncanny dream happenings that people have, that are difficult to simply reason or rationalise in conventional terms. I would like for the community to post here any dreams that have that kind of WOW factor.

So for example, they may be dreams which contained information that before going to sleep, the dreamer did not possess, and later discovered it to be accurate. Premonitions. Personally transformative dreams etc.

I will get the ball rolling with a dream I had this morning.

Thanks people.

So, I have on and off been keeping a dream diary, and I am currently at "on" point in my diary keeping.

This morning (Feb 8th 2015 at 5.30ish), I rolled over groggily and penned out a dream which went roughly like this:

I see a picture of a 50's bombshell in a newspaper. Some article about her and her partner going through fidelity issues. I hear Nina Simone singing the line "and even Lana Turners Smile". I think the bombshell is Lana Turner. Scene changes.
I'm in a mobile home camper type vehicle. Some people making a music video cover of an original 50's track by James Dean. I think I know it, and think to myself the original is better.
Some older guy with a quiff is sitting at the front, mixing the music, and saying "what do I know, I;m just an old timer". He says this sarcastically, as he used to play with James Dean when he was younger. The scene then shifts to an actor, playing James Dean on stage, and singing the famous track that these punks have tried to cover.

Anyhow, funky dream in an all over the place kind of way. So I have just now (evening 9.30pm Feb 8th 2015) decided to look up both James Dean and Lana Turner on Google. The interesting thing for me is that they both were born on February 8th. Very nice coincidence, which I would leave at being just a major coincidence, had this sort of thing not happened to me many times before.

One night I dreamt of someone I knew when I was in graduate school. He made beer as a hobby.
The next day I go to a wine making supply shop (where the also sell beer making supplies) and the person working there looks almost exactly like the person I knew in graduate school.
I never dreamt of this person before or since, and I have been in wine making supply shops many other times without it influencing my dreams before or after visiting.

One time I dreamt of a woman I had never seen before. In the dream I saw her profile which had a distinctive appearance.
Then next day I met her at a Spiritualist church. She had the same distinctive profile I saw in the dream.

Once in my childhood I dreamt I was in a jungle and I lost my grip on a vine I was climbing.
The next day, I was flying my toy plane which flew in a circle as you held onto a cord attached to it. I accidentally let go of the control grip attached to the cord and at the same instant I remembered the dream. The plane crashed and was damaged beyond repair.

This is rare. It happened last night. In my dream, I was just washing up and doing things that I usually do. Nothing weird was happening.
Suddenly, I felt like something was "pushing" me down onto the floor.
Almost as if there's a heavy box on my back. It was like a combination of muscle weakness and being pushed. Kind of like sleep paralysis, except I was standing up when that was happening. I was scared. Trying to stand up straight got harder and harder.
The "weight" got heavier. Everything started fading to black as I felt myself collapse on the floor with a thud. And then I woke up. *shudders* it was scary.

Maybe there's a burden you're carrying in real life and the weight of it's starting to bring you down?

A dream in the wee hours of this morning....

Background: So on Saturday morning, my Fiancée and I went through a small gate out into the pasture to walk around and plan where we're going to have the wedding. We came back in through a different gate and forgot to close the first gate.

All day Saturday and Sunday we were very busy doing a lot of stuff and didn't notice the still open gate. If I had noticed it, I would have closed it immediately so the three donkeys couldn't escape.

About 4:00 AM this morning I was awakened by a dream in which my fiancée was pointing at the open gate with a horrified gasp because the donkeys had escaped. I jerked awake wondering if I'd actually forgotten to close the gate. Went out in the dark and dew and found the gate open and donkeys nowhere in sight but a fresh pile of poo in the yard indicated they had just escaped. Found them this morning in an adjacent field and got them back to pasture.

Was my psychic sense triggered by the donkeys escaping in the night? Or was my subconscious cranking away on the submerged memory of leaving the gate open?

Ain't these experiences great. Past, present, or future, whatever... you got the message, and most importantly, you acted.

Personally speaking, I think of my present perceptions during sleep as encompassing a greater wedge of time... temporal perception if you will... such that strong feelings in the surrounding past and future (which are strong because they are the same pattern of network activation which is spread out in space-time), feed back into our dreams.

In your case... *one* valid way I would consider looking at it... is that your experiences/thoughts in the period after you awoke, but before you found the donkeys... could have interfered with you before you awoke... in such a way that you became aware.
