Skeptics asked not to post

Just in case you're wondering why certain members are not responding to your posts, a group of skeptics has been asked not to post in any forum except B&SD.

"Asked" implies consent. I believe some people (like myself) have been "instructed" to not leave this box.

I wonder...is it against the rules, spoken or unspoken, to reply to people on their profile pages when they're taking to/about "us"?

I'd just let it be. Um, hello, I'm in the room.

I do find it interesting that certain people are not allowed to participate in the thread that will determine where those people can participate. I realize this forum is not a democracy, but that's pretty dang funny.

I thought you could post anything as long as it's not an obvious argument for mind = brain? Or has that been up/down graded?

if you mean conversations... sure.

Who the hell knows? I've never seen so much pussyfooting with rules in my entire forum life.

I've never seen a forum where the top posters don't even agree with the subject matter. It's like posting on a basketball forum that football is better, and being a top poster.

I sometimes question how pitiful of existence it must be to have nothing better to do but be the loudest voice in a room full of people who don't agree with you. It's like my cat, whenever she saunters into my room and sleeps on my keyboard. I always pick her up and toss her out, but she annoyingly peddles back in every time. It's like she doesn't understand that she's unwelcome and annoying. I would imagine getting banned multiple times would make me get the hint...

So you're saying that the original forum should have been called Skeptino rather than Skeptiko. Possibly so, yes. I didn't realize that "subject matter" includes "only one opinion on it."

Why are Arouet's posts all gone and his member name no longer in the list?

~~ Paul
I can see his profile if i choose a sub category in the members list, if you take "most negative ratings" you will see him at the third place.
I do not know about his posts being removed, i can see at least some of his posting.
I hope we do not loose Arouet, he worked hard to follow up on suggestions made by Alex, hard work that was then not appreciated at all.

I was wrong. His posts are still here. I don't see him in the member list and I can't enter his member name to search for his posts. I don't think a suspension should hide the member, but anyway.

It looked the same when you were suspended some time ago, if you look in the member list you will see different tabs, his profile is visible under the header "most negative ratings"

For whatever reason, anyone banned no longer appears in the Most Messages or Most Points list, but they still appear in the Positive and Negative ratings list. It's been the same with everyone temp banned since the start.

But your intentions still aren't clear to me. You're obviously not well liked here, your opinion gets junked or ignored the second you post it, and when you get banned, you come crawling back to the forum within minutes. Don't you have anything better to do that to spend time on a forum that clearly values your opinion as less than dirt? Why not just go join an atheist circlejerk forum?

And on top of that, you make threads and posts to whine and complain like some 4 year old child to a forum that would love nothing more than for you to never post here again. Maybe you should find a hobby or something?
