Mod+ 253. SUZANNE TAYLOR, THE SCIENTIFIC MYSTERY OF CROP CIRCLES

The issue isn't evidence for something mysterious. Watch my movie, or any other, for strange things that have no explanation. That said, since science is the god we worship, the scientific work on BLTResearch is the solid evidence I point people to.

There’s no proof that “most” have been made by people. That’s a ridiculous statement. “A lot” is what I’ve been saying for a long time. Go back to the “bickering “ with Colin, who kept insisting I was thinking what I was not thinking about how much hoaxing was going on. Blaming yourself for being duped still has me as the duper, and it’s very distasteful to find you impugning my honesty. If anyone was duped it was me, coming on a program with someone so mired in skepticism. It’s a mean-spiritedness that the world could use less of.

The fact is Suzanne,

That it has been shown how a little careful planning and a few hours team work by humans can create the most spectacular geometrical crop circle.

Once it has been shown that humans can/are able to create these crop circles overnight, then the mystery dies.

Conclusion, Aliens are not a likely explanation, Humans have shown how crop circles are made.

"The fact is" goes with a wagging finger, but of course people can stomp crop. Duh, as we say. And they've gotten good at making good designs since the laughable pattern Doug and Dave made for the press. But the mystery that remains is biological changes to the plants and chemical changes to the soil, to just talk about what I use as a bottom line. And I never say aliens. Some otherness is what I talk about, a la what the person in my film says when asked about what makes them. She says, "Not us."

It's not finger wagging and I'm not having a pop, I'm just declaring that there is no mystery to crop circles, especially the kind of mystery that used to be associated with crop circles, the fact huge spectacular geometrical patterns used to appear in fields at random locations and could be fully appreciated from the air, gave an impression that maybe aliens visited earth to leave us signs. But that myth has been busted by a group of dedicated humans showing how careful planning and commitment could create a most spectacular geometrical crop circle, over night.

Point proven.

If the only remaining mystery is biological and chemical changes to the plants, I would not be in the least bit surprised if some kind of other gimmick was at play, by the very humans that are making crop circles, that is the most likely explanation, I see no reason to assume anything else.

Calling it "otherness" or not us, Is just another way of saying its alien.

In my experience, I don't feel the need to make the leap that crop circles are anything other than a human endeavour.

People who use your illogical logic area particular breed of irksome. You can "just declare" that the moon is made of green cheese, but that just makes you look foolish and doesn't have anything to do with the moon. And that you "see no reason" that evidence is evidence is not remotely compelling.

Compelling evidence for what? Chemicals in soil around crop circles, that doesn't compell me to assume anything other than the same pranksters who had people fooled by creating stunning geometrical crop circles in random fields, are still pulling pranks.

That's all im compelled to believe.

The only thing illogical would be to assume that it isn't humans creating the crop circles. Especially when it has been shown, how humans are able to create a most stunning and spectacular crop circle.

Of course it does, because everybody knows humans can create crop formations.

What doesn't pass as intelligent conversation, is outrageously assuming anything other than humans have anything to do with crop formations.

And may I say Suzanne, You are quite offensive and have the conduct of an eleven year old.

Suzanne, please don't think of us as all being like Johnny. Fact is, you've come in at a late stage and possibly missed the earliest comments. I don't think Johnny should be posting here because it's a Mod+ thread, meaning that ideological sceptics shouldn't be posting here. Seeing as Johnny hasn't apologised for his last remark, let me apologise for him and ask him to cease posting on this thread.

My opinion is that there is evidence that many crop circles are hoaxes. But maybe not all of them, and if they aren't, then they're possibly an example of a class of phenomena that Berbardo Kastrup discusses in his book, Meaning in Absurdity. That is, phenomena that defy logical, causal explanation: another example might be what happened at Fatima when thousands of people observed the sun apparently change colour and rotate, something that was seen also many miles away.

Did Fatima happen? Did it not happen? True or false? Thing is, it might not be subject to true/false evaluation. I'm agnostic about it, and can say the same about some crop circles.

Whilst you're in the business of speaking for others Michael, maybe you could also apologise for Suzanne's conduct,

Accusing me of unintelligent conversation and illogical logic breeding irksome.

Maybe you are the one who jumped in to late into our conversation Michael, I never accused anybody of finger wagging or accused anybody of being unintelligent, illogical or irksome, I offered my humble opinion, and it's a fact crop formations and very stunning ones, not lousy ones as Suzzane suggests, but absolutely amazing crop formations' are created by humans.

Stating the obvious doesn't mean I am being irksome or unintelligent, illogical or finger wagging,

That is bad conduct,

But hey I don't expect you to realise I made no such put downs, until I felt it was necessary to call it bad conduct.

You are our of order Michael for thinking you are some hero and I am the villain.

Enough said

Also don't dictate where I should post, I listened to the show, ( all of it) at the end Alex asks us to come over to the forum and discus our ideas, which is what I did. And I am one of the greatest believers in many things paranormal, but since I have seen how humans are able to create the most stunning crop formation, in a few hours by team work, I lost the appetite for anything other than humans creating them,

I feel justified for that claim and posted it on the actual page dedicated to this topic. you can not censor my sceptical opinion to this topic and are bang out of order for your comments.

I agree... post away Johnny. Suzanne seems to be asking for some kind of special treatment... don't think she's earned it.

BTW I know Suzanne has a strong dislike for Matthew Williams, but he totally shredded her claims on the very excellent Grimerica show: http://www.grimerica.ca/williams/

I would like to add that it is never my intention to upset anybody but sometimes when opinions clash it seems inevitable especially when people hold their opinions dearly.

It could very well be that Suzzane has a more indepth knowledge than me regarding this phenomena, which is more than likely, so in this scenario maybe I am missing something here, but from all I can gather, I personally don't feel the need to make any great leaps of faith regarding the mystery surrounding crop formations, but you can consider me the Fox Mulder of the paranormal, in the sense that " I want to believe" and I am open to many theories regarding UFO or Alien phenomena, but in the case presented here, I personally need a little bit more.

I started listening to the above link until my Bluetooth speaker, ( I love that little device ) declared a low battery so it's on charge and will continue the podcast this evening.

Thanks for the link,

At the end of the show, they joke about making crop circles in the snow. This guy makes some pretty incredible ones: :)
