I do hope the IM sequel is more precise, the first book was great at pointing out problems with the purely mind=brain, but the treatment of the filter theory wasn't great. Moreover, they need to somehow break through the barrier of academia. IM got a lot of good press from mainstream journals. However, reviews from Sebastian Dieguez and Thomas Sturm were not as glowing to say the least.
I thought this might interest you. There is some evidence to suggest that taking certain drugs improves psi ability. If this is the case, this could be a powerful argument for the filter theory of mind.
