Trump Consciousness

So, the government seizing control of private industry to manufacture medical equipment to battle COVID-19 is a good thing? I'm supportive of the potential application of the Defense Production Act here myself for what its worth.

What should the government's policy be should a COVID-19 vaccine emerge?

Trump economic adviser Peter Navarro said Thursday that the United States would soon return to manufacturing medicine and medical supplies rather than relying on other nations to supply them.
"Never again should we rely on the rest of the world for our essential medicines and countermeasures," Navarro, the director of trade and manufacturing policy and national Defense Production Act policy coordinator, said during the White House press briefing.
Navarro said that, post-coronavirus crisis, all federal departments, such as the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense, should buy medicines, medical supplies, and equipment manufactured in the U.S. so as to be supplied even in the case of a crisis in which those materials are not available by trade.
"One of the things that this crisis has taught us is that we are dangerously overdependent on a global supply chain," Navarro said. "For our medicines like penicillin, our medical supplies, masks, and our medical equipment like ventilators."
The Food and Drug Administration, Navarro said, would have to greenlight medical manufacturing so that the U.S. can "leapfrog" other countries, "so we don't have to compete against cheap sweatshop labor, lax environmental regulations, different tax regimes, and massive subsidies of foreign governments."

2:02:27 Peter Navarro answering a question from the press:

One of the things this crisis has taught us is that we are dangerously over dependent on a global supply chain for our medicines like penicillin, our medical supplies like masks, and our medical equipment like ventilators.
We have right now as we speak over 50 countries that have already imposed some form of export restrictions in their country against the rest of the world.
And what we're learning from that is that no matter how many treaties you had, no matter how many alliances, no matter how many phone calls, when push comes to shove, you run the risk as a nation of not having what you need.
And if there's any vindication of the President's buy American, secure borders, and a strong manufacturing base philosophy, strategy, and belief it is this crisis because it underscores everything that we see there.
So the buy American order which is going through process would do a couple of things.
It would simply say - not during this crisis because we don't want to disrupt anything, I want to be really about that but going forward after this is over - the VA, DOD, HHS, and this government buys American for essential medicines, our medical countermeasures, and the medical supplies and equipment we need.
At the same time it will deregulate so we can get the FDA, and EPA to facilitate domestic manufacturing, and then innovate. Because then the key here is having advanced manufacturing on US soil that can leapfrog other countries so we don't have to worry about competing against cheap sweatshop labor, lax environmental regulations, different tax regimes, and the massive subsidies of foreign governments who are actually directly attacking our industrial base.
So be patient with that Sir, the other priorities we have right now are to DPA and what the task force is doing. But if we learn anything from this crisis it should be never again, never again should we have to depend on the rest of the world for our essential medicines and countermeasures.

Barr says DOJ will go after coronavirus price gougers, hoarders
...
The Trump administration on Monday vowed to go after price gougers and those who hoard crucial medical supplies amid the coronavirus pandemic that has seen store shelves emptied and the cost of basic necessities skyrocket in some areas.
At a White House press briefing, Trump said he signed an executive order earlier in the day that would prohibit the accumulation of supplies such as hand sanitizer, face masks and personal protective equipment in order to profit off the virus.
...
The order gives Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex Azar the authority to designate certain supplies as scarce or as supplies threatened by people accumulating excessive amounts. Those found to be hoarding supplies or price gouging could face criminal prosecution.
Attorney General William Barr said the Justice Department has seen evidence of price gouging and hoarding in recent weeks.
“Once specific materials are so designated, persons are prohibited from accumulating those items in excess of reasonable personal or business needs or for the purpose of selling them in excess of prevailing market prices,” Barr said.

Feds distribute thousands of masks, other supplies seized from hoarders during coronavirus pandemic
The Justice Department and Department of Health and Human Services are distributing nearly 200,000 N95 respirator masks and other medical supplies to New York and New Jersey after confiscating them from individuals hoarding the materials.
Fox News has learned that the FBI discovered the supplies last week in New Jersey during an enforcement operation by the Justice Department’s COVID-19 Hoarding and Price Gouging Task Force and alerted HHS.
Under the Defense Production Act, HHS ordered that the supplies be immediately given to the government.
In addition to the 192,000 N95 respirator masks, the FBI found 598,000 medical-grade gloves and 130,000 surgical masks, procedure masks, N100 masks, surgical gowns, disinfectant towels, particulate filters, bottles of hand sanitizer and bottles of spray disinfectant.

Surely everyone is seeing through this chancer now? Anyone still doubling down on this guy?

If the US election is legitimate, each legitimate voter can exercise their right to vote and, though one vote will, with almost 100% mathematical certainty, make zero difference... it is still remotely possible it could.

So one has three options where one option can be exercised in one of two available forms

Option One - Vote for a "write in"candidate or do not vote at all - that is a single option that will have the same impact regardless of which of the two sub-options are chosen.

Option Two, vote for the cabal. (Biden or whoever is the candidate of the Democrats when the election is held).

Option Three, vote against the cabal. (Trump, if he is still the US President when the election is held).

As things stand today, I am voting for the cabal if Trump is still the candidate.

It is my opinion the weaponization of the virus via the infodemic would not have happened if Trump were not the US President. The usage of the virus by the cabal is due to Trump not playing ball. It ain't 1963 again. Killing a "rogue President" didn't "teach" enough voters that Presidents are selected, not elected. So this time, they kill tens of thousands, and wreck the lives of millions hoping "we" the idiot voters, "get it" this time. I was an idiot, I now see how stupid I was. I will now vote for the cabal.

Further to this... I have come to realize (and sadly, accept) that regardless of who is President, the cabal is running the show. And I have realized that when the cabal has their preferred puppet in place, the measures they resort to, the "operations" they run on humanity, though in the long term, life destroying for the masses of humanity, they have a history of rolling out their agenda with far less cataclysmic short term impact when their preferred "leaders" are in place.

So I will, with all but 100% certainty, be voting for the cabal's preferred candidate in the upcoming US Presidential election and all future elections.

"Make the world less volatile again" (at least until they pull the final plug which, for the masses (of which I and my loved ones, most of my friends, are part of) is most certainly inevitable.

You mean, given a choice between Trump and a senile old man who can barely string a sentence together and would be totally duped by his 'advisors', which would I choose? I'd most certainly choose President Trump!

Now if I had to choose between President Trump and Tulsi Gabbard, I might be tempted because her military experience has clearly left her as anti-war as the President, however, the Democratic party didn't like her because they want to suck up to the Neocons.

Fair enough. Whataboutism is literally all you have at this point. Embrace it.

Well who would you vote for - Trump or Biden? You really have a vote, I don't.

You need to realise that every war is a catastrophe. Huge numbers of people are killed, even more are injured physically and/or psychologically, and long lasting hatreds are created. Imagine for a moment that some or all of your family were killed arbitrarily by a bomb dropping from a hi-tech plan from a faraway country - wouldn't you hate the country that did that? Thus every war seeds more war in its wake.
