Niles Heckman, Modern Shamans Harvesting DMT From Toads |488|

Yeah it would be nice and I think that is how it was and still is in some few remaining cultures in a sense. There are some legitimate Shamans out there but in the end it is your own inner journey. I have seen people screaming and crying in traditional settings. It can give a certain level of...

Niles Heckman, Modern Shamans Harvesting DMT From Toads |488|

I have probably had around a thousand experiences over a couple of decades with psilocybin, DMT, ayahuasca and mescaline. The only demons I have encountered are my own inner ones, these are the bad trips. They are terrifying and dark, it is not easy and it is especially difficult to then go...

The dried venom contains both 5-MeO-DMT and bufotenin (5-HO-DMT). There is no conclusive evidence that bufotenin alone is psychoactive when vaporized however most say the the toad venom is more powerful than 5-MeO-DMT alone. So it more than likely does or it is a matter of synergy.

Thanks Alex for the interview and thanks Niles for the access to the first episode. Very well made and worthy of praise, especially for treating the subject with the respect it deserves. Where and when will other episodes be available?

The discovery of the supposed hidden variables? Conformation of local realism would be good candidate to at least leave it in the realms of metaphysical musings. However the opposite is true, Try looking at from the other perspective, what can fit with what we know rather than what we don't...

I agree, the only thing I would say differently is that matter itself is within consciousness. Then again I suppose that would be a requirement. :) The perspective shift is simply acknowledging that reality exists in consciousness over the idea that consciousness exists in a unrealized proposed...

Yes, there is certainly a lot to unpack in that short presentation. I think one of those constraints is as you mention the implication of being able to change anything in reality. The way I see it is that individual conscious agents are themselves residing within the consciousness of the all...

Exactly. The conflict is with the general human notion of reality. (Materialism/local realism) That was my point.

Working quantum physics has proven that It's a philosophical mistake to expect our notions of common sense views of reality (local realism) to conform.

The first primary principles of Thoth/Mercurius/Hermes (Hermeticism) maybe apt. 1.Mentalism. The universe is the embodiment of higher mind. Basically philosophical idealism. The mind of the all. Reality is stitched together with each collapse of the wave function. The accumulation of...

    Jesus’ Existence

Granted many can be illusive and the meaning is left to ponder, which does not make them meaningless, it may simply have personal meaning and can become the tool of meditation or divination. It is wise to not become single minded as there can often be layers of meaning. Some are also well...

I've no idea what that means.

    Jesus’ Existence

The God of the old testament is quite well described as are his actions. Jealous, vindictive and genocidal are accurate terms. I never said evil does not exist. In a sense I just tried to do what you are saying I should do but I know it is fruitless. Hopefully I'll have time to expand further...

    Jesus’ Existence

I do feel sorry for the literalists and those who have been led astray by the church, they have been told a story devoid of understanding of the language it is told in and are missing the profound spiritual teachings that are embedded within it. That language being myth. Myth was used by the...

    Jesus’ Existence

That is not logical. That is dodging the question. There has to be a separation, events are either factual or allegorical. They are mutually exclusive. :) I could certainly accept the possibility of a Jewish teacher in that era. The myth is a entirely different matter. As I quoted Allegro...

    Jesus’ Existence

Wow! That's what I have been saying the entire time! Big breakthrough there. Where do you separate the possible man or amalgam of men from the myth?
