And what feudalism? Where I live people are free to go out and do their best and achieve all kinds of goodies. I see no feudalism
I pay taxes that fund wars I deeply morally oppose.

No, I don't think Anneke had all the shit coming that she went through, Mishelle. I don't think Annette Funicello should have suffered her illness for over twenty years before God mercifully took her home either. Nor do I think God has been fair with me either, born to the parents I had, with the learning disability I had and the subsequent tough livelihood of heavy construction work I endured. I don't know why both of my marriages failed while I nearly broke my back providing things most women can only dream of. And I don't know why I was struck permanently half blind by a stroke at age 62, dashing all the hopes I had for a pleasant retirement. Annette said shortly before she died that, "God will see me through this." She kept her faith. I do the same. I believe God has a plan for me as for all his believers and suffering to build an understanding character is part of it. I don't think we know for sure that abusers get away with their crimes for multiple generations/lifetimes. A few lines in the new testament at Hebrews 12:6 might be helpful here: "The lord disciplines those he loves and scourges every one He receives as a son. Those who receive no scourging are not true sons but bastards."
Look, you have to appreciate that not everyone wants to - or can - just drop out of society and live in a cave and forage or grow their own food. If that's your trip and it works for you, then great. Enjoy. I wish you the best on your journey. But please don't get all superior and sanctimonious about your lifestyle versus theirs.“You do the Hokey-pokey! You do the Hokey-pokey! And that’s what it’s all about!”
YAY all kinds of goodies!

Also, just because you oppose a war doesn't make it wrong. Furthermore, if you pay taxes it's so, in part, you can have a piece of land to do your thing on and not have some barbarians come and kill you and take it. Living the simple life is great, but, once again, life ain't so simple when you really think about what it takes other people to do for you to enjoy your simplicity.
yeah, but I've had a bunch of these skeptics on the show over the last year... and I have another one with matt alper. in my opinion the arguments by these folks are getting weaker and weaker. none of them are up-to-date on the latest research. matt alper is proud of the fact that he hasn't touched his book since 2008... that's 12 years ago. wait until you hear his arguments they are embarrassing.Do they?
If we are at all trying to be honest in this community I would suggest this is a dangerous way of thinking. There remains a full-throated skeptical community regarding this community's general views on consciousness, psi, NDEs, etc. It remains far from settled to my view and I realize I'm speaking in a heretical manner to most readers here.
agreed. this is especially poignant when we look at it from an extended consciousness and ET perspective. I think we have a tendency to way overshoot our capabilities within the broader consciousness game. How programmable are humans?
Agreed. full stop!Alex, I honor your assertion that staring into the abyss, doing massive research, per force results in discovering metaphysical evil. Demons exist, and they are colluding with evil humans to perpetrate crimes of the scale reported by Anneke.
I agree. then again, this is a huge topic. I'm super grateful that this thread is beginning to explore it. I think the loosh ( I've heard it expressed differently in yoga terms but basically the same) has the potential to set us on a path for better understanding what's going on.The part of your interview that IMO was insufficiently unexplored was its references to the vapid Yogic idea that evil results from ignorance of the true Self
How about a biker gang, or drug smugglers/manufacturers, or white supremists, or some other murderous maniacs that should be in prison, but you didn't want to pay the taxes that pay for the judicial system and law enforcement. You use the internet. All sorts of things that cost money go into that. Come on. You are part of a much bigger system whether or not you want to admit it. At some level, that system even requires wars from time to time to keep things in balance and the barbarians at bey.Right, because the Iranians, no i mean the Iraqis, no the Afghans, no the Russians, that is, the Chinese, are right at my doorstep.
Loosh? It's a new term to me. Isn't it just that evil wants to stay hopped up on a dark vibe so it seeks to bring more people down to its level? A party is only fun if everyone is dancing to the same music. And since evil hates good, destroying joy and freedom is a reward in itself for evil.Agreed. full stop!

I don't think it's defeatist it's more or less where you start and what your values are.I’m threatened by one almost every time I look at media. Have you looked at some of these links, like the Vigilant Citizen one I just posted? That’s why I care about ‘Satan’. Yes, I could leave the modern world, quite easily actually, considering I live in the woods and raise my own food, but I’m concerned about the world I’m coming back to, or leaving behind, b/c I find it grotesque. Some day soon I probably will drop ‘all that’s Cesar’s’ but for now I still have the energy and inclination to fight back and to find like-minds and to warn future generations.

The problem is that the US (among others) has (maybe had) become addicted to war - I mean Obama started two and a half wars while he was in power the second time (the half war being The Ukraine). Trump had the opportunity to start wars with Iran, Venezuela and NK, and ramp the Syrian war back up. Thank God he did none of those, because even if none of that had gone nuclear, it is inconceivable that anyone would have gained from them except perhaps the arms manufacturers and strutting generals. Vast numbers of people would have been killed, even more injured, and the cost would have been colossal.

Mischele and Eric,
I think we are muddling up two different issues here. On the one hand we are talking about the horrid violence of war, and the way this has not always been used as an absolute last resort.
On the other hand we are talking about Anneke' claims. As I have already said, you (Eric) have consolidated some serious doubts in my head about whether her story is true - particularly the bit about this being part of a huge conspiracy. Is it possible that she may have been got at afterwards - while she was very vulnerable - and this idea was planted in her head?
One thing I do know, if we replaced the ruling elite in the World by a new revolutionary one, all kinds of extreme injustices would become commonplace. The answer has to be to fix the system - not replace it.
David
Eric,
Just want to say I share your feeling that there’s something fishy about this story. Many of your objections were thoughts that also crossed my mind.
That said, I don’t know what kind of endgame she may be pursuing if any at all. Perhaps there’s no further point than to stay right where she is, doing this for her own benefit? I just don’t know.
I am an unrepentant Bernie Bro, btw. I don’t see our current state of affairs as reflective of any kind of special virtuousness and despite potential weaknesses in a more leftward platform, I feel it is a necessary corrective. Just saying that because I think we can call BS on these kind of stories without being sympathetic to neolib/neocon political worldviews.

Eric - that video was also rather revealing.
