William W. Thompson, PhD, Senior Scientist with the CDC has stepped forward and admitted the 2004 paper entitled "Age at first measles-mumps-rubella vaccination in children with autism and school-matched control subjects: a population-based study in metropolitan Atlanta," which has been used repeatedly by the CDC to deny the MMR-autism connection, was a fraud.

Dr. Thompson has admitted the 340% increase in boys receiving the MMR vaccine "on time," as opposed to delayed, was buried by himself, Dr. DeStefano, Dr. Bhasin, Dr. Yeargin-Allsopp, and Dr. Boyle.

Dr. Thompson first called and spoke with Dr. Brian Hooker, who then revealed the information to Dr. Andrew Wakefield and the Autism Media Channel.

The video containing Dr. Thompson's recorded conversation can be found here, beginning at the 2 minute, 45 second mark.

Update: The Autism Media Channel website has gone down.

Update: Jon Rappoport is reporting Dr. Thompson was escorted from the CDC headquarters yesterday afternoon.

Update: Autism Media Channel confirmed crash site was due to exceeding bandwith; no other reason.

Update: Dr. Thompson himself responds to e-mail showing support for his act of speaking out:

Thank you for your kind words.

Thanks,

Bill

Interestingly, the journal that published the Hooker re-analysis seems to have pulled it: http://www.translationalneurodegeneration.com/content/3/1/16/abstract

This article has been removed from the public domain because of serious concerns about the validity of its conclusions. The journal and publisher believe that its continued availability may not be in the public interest. Definitive editorial action will be pending further investigation.

The report can still be found here: http://www.rescuepost.com/files/mea...a-reanalysis-of-cdc-data---2047-9158-3-16.pdf

I have yet to hop on either side of this particular aisle, but I don't think it would hurt to periodically retest vaccines that have been around relatively unchanged for some time, as well as test for any non-positive effects(if any)that may occur from the more commonly administered sets of vaccines.

For me, it's not a question of whether we should use vaccines or not. It's more like when you take your car in for inspection just to be as sure as you can that everything's still working properly.

I know. It's hard not to sound conspiratorial when talking about people who see a conspiracy.

Can you clarify your statement? Are you implying you have insider or special knowledge in this matter that allows you to definitively and categorically know whether or not William W. Thompson is factual and a conspiracy exist?

Or, were you just being facetious and banal concerning this topic?

Thank you...

No.

I was simply noting that conspiracy theories are like black holes.

I don't see the conspiracy theory here, nor do I see a black hole. Some scientists in the past have suggested a possible link between vaccines and autism. Unless I'm mistaken, the conspiracy theory was that the (US) government was withholding evidence of this link. Now a leading researcher at the CDC has confirmed this is indeed true. Is this Dr. Thompson a conspiracy theorist?
