Mod+ Military remote viewing and the reality of angels

I could have equally posted this in the C&S forum. Credit goes to Steve for showing me this video. (Give him the "Like" if he answers. :))

Steve showed me this video where Major Ed Dames gives a demonstration/lecture on remote viewing. The most interesting part for me is the Q&A session at the end. Steve showed it to me to highlight Major Dames talking about using RV now, in his personal journey, to study and know himself, and what lies beyond the mere "mind".

But my ears perked up when he talked about angels and how they're encountered by the remote viewing team. So Aquinas was right all along! ;)

The Q&A session starts at 1h14
The bit about angels is from 1:31:28 to 1:35:27

He also talks about remote viewing ETs, the dying process, etc.

Who is Major Ed Dames?
The world's foremost remote viewing teacher, and creator of Technical Remote Viewing, Major Edward A. Dames, United States Army (ret.), is a thrice decorated military intelligence officer and an original member of the U.S. Army prototype remote viewing training program. He served as both training and operations officer for the U.S. government's TOP SECRET psychic espionage unit.

Edward Dames is a ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. Between 1979 and 1983, Major Dames served as an electronic warfare officer and scientific and technical intelligence officer.

In 1982, Ingo Swann, under the direction of Dr. Harold Puthoff, head of the Remote Viewing Laboratory at Stanford Research Institute, realized a breakthrough. Swann developed a working model for how the unconscious mind communicates information to conscious awareness. To test the model, the Army sent Major Dames and five others to Swann as a prototype trainee group.

The results exceeded all expectations - even those of Swann. In six months, Major Dames' teammates were producing psychically-derived data with more consistency and accuracy than had ever been seen in similar intelligence projects using even the best 'natural' psychics. In late 1983, the team parted company with Swann. As the new operations and training officer for the unit, Dames took this breakthrough skill, dubbed 'Coordinate Remote Viewing,' and began a new phase of research, testing, and evaluation in order to both uncover its true capabilities, and to perfect its application to fit crucial intelligence collection needs.

Thanks for posting.
I have seen several Ed Dames' videos, including this one. He does a very good job at explaining how to work with RV, even for super beginners like myself.
Outside of his expertise I find him a bit on the cuckoo side, if you allow me the term :) He's predicted all sorts of disasters and end of the world that have, of course, never happened. His take on martian "sentient robots" is probably where he looses me.

I think we have discussed this previously on the other forum. The big issues with predictions is that if they don't happen then they must have happened in a parallel universe/timeline. Can't argue with that :)

How do they know they're angels? Answer - they don't. They encounter a presence, likely an energy presence and then proceed to perceive it through their own viewpoints.

Of course, though it's easier to use a word for it (angels) instead of referring to "an energy presence" so and an so... Other cultures will call them devas, fravashi, etc... possibly describing different characteristics at times.

Thanks for this, Bucky, I hadn't followed that. Although in the case of this video Q&A, there's no mention of predictions. He's describing what he and others in his team encounter and experience in their RV work.

Yes, but if you listen carefully to that excerpt, it's not just any "presence" - they describe the activities & powers they seem to do and have. NDErs & mediums encounter/contact "angelic beings", whatever they are or name we want to give them. Are they simply more advanced, specially "appointed" and/or evolved spirits/light beings, who knows?

Here's a recent interview with G.Noory on Coast to Coast, talking about the "kill shot" and several other topics:

Hmm . you seem to both arguing and reinforcing my point. Framing them as "angelic beings" is part of the translation being done by the person perceiving them. "They do things we like and associate with the concept of goodness" = "angelic beings" (Even though, angels in the Bible are sometimes warriors) As I stated - they encounter a presence and translate based on their own perspective. The pull to put things in human terms is great.

Have you actually watched the video ?

Ed Dames is being practical , he is not an academic, or a New Ager or ...... whatever ? They may not be technically correct to the n'th degree and the beings may or may not be offended by being called Angels :), but if you want to make a point to ordinary people, you have to talk a language they can understand.

There is no language to adequately describe many of the unusual things we run across on the forum. I often feel that telepathy would be so much easier . :)

Thanks for these Bucky, I'm starting to listen to them. At 5-7 min of the first one, there's a discussion where Dames seems to be saying because of the nature of "time", we can't really make precise predictions.

Finger crossed he's really wrong this time :)
Yeah, me too Bucky. I found it really depressing listening to the first pasts of this interview. I live where there can be snow and -30 or plus degrees. I won't be exactly in a position to live off the garden type of thing, you know what I mean?;)

If it's as dire as he makes it out to to be - the financial collapse of the United States, basically, and everything that would entail - and that we should be looking towards re-location in some relatively few, small secret locations, screw it, I hate to say it but I would be thinking about transitioning to the other side earlier than expected. :( Not too interested in living through some doomsday catastrophic scenario. Let's pray to the powers that be, to Spirit or the "angels" or whatever, that this sort of thing doesn't happen.

I take comfort in the fact that a lot of these predictions, from all kinds of sources (NDEs, etc.), don't work out - or only partially, or not at all in the designated time frame.

Just Googling psychic predictions for 2014 for the fun of it.

Very dire economic & other world news here:

No doom and gloom here - quite the opposite:

Another housing market crash predicted here (the Denver Psychic Development Group), but not the total collapse Dames is talking about it seems:

The things you're saying don't stand up. "Ordinary people" mean by angel - heavenly host.

Regarding his 2014 predictions, Dames is really putting himself out there with: at the latest spring 2014 the killshot (madmax/zombie apocalypse scenario) will be "in your face".

His fans seem to follow "precursors" to have some sort of timeline: right now it would be North Korea using a nuclear weapon, then a spacecraft being forced out of earth's orbit.

I'd be interested in more info on Dames being wrong with predictions because his 2014 prediction is complete apocalypse: mass starvation/institutional collapse/loss of communications and power because of solar flares, then the problem of Fukuyama becoming an even worst nightmare for humanity.

Here's one page I found about his past predictions not doing so well:

In 2004 he did basically the same prediction, powerful solar flares would create major disasters all over the planet:
http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread43183/pg1

There's an undeniable contradiction between precise dates for these events and the type of answer he gave George Noory on C2C. If the preamble to these predictions is that there's no time when tapping into the "unconscious field of information", why are we supposed to take it seriously that doomsday is on schedule for spring 2014? It's already overdue by 10 years, and I'd bet a jelly bean that it will be the same in the next 10 years etc...

Happy 2014 :)

Similarly, in the last post from the discussion I linked above the author says that in 2005 Dames predicted a 9.5 scale earthquake in new guinea.
You can take a look here and notice that it never happened:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_21st-century_earthquakes

(There was a earthquake in 2005 with 0 fatalities, and others in 2010, 11 and 13. No one was harmed.)
Do you know if the prediction was from or for 2005?
There was an earthquake in Indonesia a couple of days before 2005, killing 300 000 people.

To keep Ed Dames predictions in one thread i will post a new prediction he made tonight, January 2nd.

According to him there will be a 9+ earthquake around March this year, just off the NW tip of New Guinea.

Here is an excerpt of his prediction from Coast to Coast, although it will not be there in two or three days.

Remote viewing expert Major Ed Dames believes he has found the location of Earth's next major catastrophe. According to Dames, a 9+ magnitude earthquake, with an epicenter just off the Northwest tip of New Guinea (Eastern Indonesia, 0.5 degrees S/131.5 degrees E), will occur sometime in March 2005.

Yes, it does look like he pronounced that prediction just within days after the 9.1 quake in Indonesia, and in March 2005 there was a 8.6 quake in Indonesia.

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eqarchives/year/mag8/magnitude8_1900_date.php

The date and magnitude was correct, but the location was a little bit off.

Thanks. You might very well be right. Fortunately also the outcome was way off.
If his accuracy about the "killshot" is good as this 2005 earthquake thing we'll probably save our posteriors from almost certain burning... fingers crossed :D
