You could just tell a really nice story.I'll never grovel to Alex to be let onto the forum. Now I have to be SRR forever. :(
He'll have to retain (at least) one identity where, no matter the urge, he keeps it in bounds.I wonder how Yanni is gonna make it through now. That should be an interesting conversation.

That barrier would've never been erected if David Bailey wasn't such an administrative failure.
another discusion on europe and immigration got locked again (it was kinda getting ridiculous), but I did want to answer some questions raised there if a new thread gets created.
This closing of the thread is completely overstepping moderation. I while back I thought the discussion was getting uncomfortable because of rape jokes that could have been upsetting for some readers. Removing the offending comments would have been the appropriate thing to do IMO and continue the conversation.
But not being able to discuss political issues and PERSONAL EXPERIENCES is censorship. Again, ironically, it began as a thread about censorship.
Perhaps David just shuts down conversations he doesn't agree with.
I think my third grade teacher said something similar one time. Bailey is a fucking joke. This is a discussion board. People discuss. Go moderate a Sunday school for Christ's sake.I am going to bring this thread to an end, because there is a danger that discussions like this can become really intense and polarised.
You know, Red, my friend, I think it was a good decision, I'll tell you why. This guy, Michael, entered this forum with the specific purpose of posting in this thread, pushing his agenda; must be some sort of plitical activist. These people have certain modus operandi: when confronted with abundant data and arguments, they start changing subject, posting abundantly all kinds of distractions, actually, doing filibustering, to dissolve the impact of data contradicting their views, hoping that their opponents quit out of pure exhaustion. Very typical strategy in forums. People have no patience to read all links, arguments and data, so, they are left with the impression that the troll in question won on argument and data, given that all relevant material destroying their point is lefti burried behind. I've seen it time and time again, and kept posting not to let this guy get away with this crap.
Maybe so Enrique. That why it's good to keep your argument sharp :)
Also, I think that the conversation was just getting to a manageable point with agreements on both sides of the debate: that sexual assault and crimes were primarily being committed by migrant populations in parts of Europe, that the media has biased reporting, and that successful integration is a problem. I too am left wing and staunchly against racism (as I believe are most members of this forum). I hold beliefs much like Steve and Michael about freedom of religion, refugees and disastrous U.S/West involvement in the Middle East. However, I also believe that Islam is not just a fundamentalist religion, it promotes a barbaric political and social system of violence and oppression that will inevitably lead to conflict with Western ideals.
I believe that most people who take the time to look at the situation will come to a similar conclusion. The question is, what to do about it.
I think we need another thread.
I just have to echo this. "Intense and polarized?" And that is a problem on a discussion board???This is a discussion board. People discuss. Go moderate a Sunday school for Christ's sake.
