Trump Consciousness

Here is a documentary which gives an insight into how Trump works. It also shows the dark side of some Scottish police, and the Scottish National Party doesn’t smell too good either.

This is where I disagree. I think that we ought to be concerned with the way that such actions and results come about. And David, please don’t start deflecting by saying that Pelosi and Schiff & co are worse. You may be correct, but that isn’t what we’re discussing. We’re talking about Trump. He encourages a “race to the bottom.”
Please don't put words into my mouth!
I assume those of you who appear content or even ‘in love’ with Trump agree with your assertion? I surmise that our anti or pro Trump stance somewhat parallels our view of acceptable behaviour in the real world, or as you put it, reality. From what I’ve seen of Trump, I think that I could provide good evidence of him at least being a liar, a bully, a narcissist. Maybe this doesn’t bother you much, maybe this is because you are quite happy having a ‘tough guy’ at the helm as the USAs leader. I think that he lacks any integrity, or decency, therefore he can’t be trusted. He says he’s USA first, but I don’t even believe that. If I were a leader of another country that was forced into dealing with him, I think I’d be a fool or at best naive to put any trust in the man. On the evidence!

It seems to me that Trump and many others in America are happy with life, as long as they are winning and couldn’t care less about other, non Americans. This selfish attitude will have to change. I am hopeful it will, but it will take a long time.
I think there is a movement in the US, UK and many other countries, that is probably fuelled by the money that George Soros has put into it. I don't know exactly what his motives really are, but I doubt they are as philanthropist as he would claim. This movement is obsessed with subjects that nobody really cared about 25 years ago. Back then, pretty much all of us recognised the need for borders between countries, the need to treat sexual minorities reasonably but not to fawn over them and insist on their rights above everyone else's. Back then everyone recognised that the Earth was warming very slightly - probably a rebound from the last glaciation. Just about everyone relished the reduction of tension after the Cold War.

Now the priorities of those on he Left seem to have changed utterly, and they call everyone who disagrees, racist, sexist, homophobic, trans-phobic, a 'Climate Denier' etc etc. We are even meant to hate Russia because President Putin and the majority of its people do not espouse these new values. Incidentally, most other cultures in the world - China, India, the Islamic world, Japan, don't espouse those ideas either.

This madness has seemed unstoppable with more and more extreme policies tumbling out. For for example, nowadays even primary school children are supposed to need exposure to LBGT ideas, and in the US there is a demand that abortion should be permitted right up to the moment of birth!

This movement is extraordinarily belligerent, and President Trump has been insulted in every conceivable way, including that disgusting kite that was flown when he came to Britain on a state visit. For goodness sake, who is it who is leading this race to the bottom - it sure isn't President Trump.

Trump is hated precisely because he resists this craziness - not bowing an inch to the fatuous sensitivities of the 'Left'. Boris also won recently, because he is somewhat similarly positioned in this fight.

If you go back 25 years or so, nothing that Trump proposes would look out of place - he simply reflects the raw common sense of decent people, unfiltered by the Left media.

I certainly am concerned about the ugly state of politics, but I think we are being bullied by an insane 'Left' and the only possible response to bullying like that, is to stand up to it. I wish Trump could speak a little bit more eloquently, but his message is correct.

You have done precisely what I thought you might do, your whole post is a rant like deflection from what I attempted to say, so thanks for that.

I didn’t mention any sweeping words like ‘left’ or ‘right’, or name anyone else but Trump. What I did, is call him out as being a liar, a bully and a narcissist, and express my distaste for these characteristics which are certainly not those I’d like to think our leaders should possess. I think there’s overwhelming evidence for my position on Trump possessing those negative traits, factually rather than emotionally.

Now the priorities of those on he Left seem to have changed utterly, and they call everyone who disagrees, racist, sexist, homophobic, trans-phobic, a 'Climate Denier' etc etc.
All rather interesting but what does this have to do with Trump being a liar, bully or narcissist, which is what I personally don’t like about Trump, or indeed my post which you copied, so I’m guessing is your attempt at responding to?

Total biased nonsense. If you want to see how he treats “decent people, unfiltered by the Left media” just watch the video I posted earlier in this thread, called ‘You’ve been Trumped’.

If you want to argue about defining ’decent people’ after watching the video, I’m here.

who is leading this race to the bottom - it sure isn't President Trump.
Sure feels that way to me and I get that we'll get no where on this point. Trump isn't alone now, that's for sure. Pelosi's stunts at the SotU address were ridiculous.

But thinking back I remember all the juvenile name calling Trump seemed to favor. The elementary school nicknames he's coined for anyone who opposes or even he perceives as slighting him. He's quick to attack and typically seems to be the first mover downward in language and tone.

Politics has always been a different arena from everyday discourse, as I believe Eric is noting. But man, its at an all time low in my memory. What's the variable? Trump's really the only new, notable figure in that arena over the past 4 years.

Ask me one that isn’t so daft and I might. There’s 101 examples in the link I posted above, even if three quarters of them are dubious, there’s around 26 left for you to choose.
So you have no idea and no independent thoughts. You're just referring to someone else's ideas which you admit are probably mostly wrong.

How would the 26 or so "lies" that might be accurately listed compare to a similar list of other presidents and candidates? Of what consequence are these "lies"? How many lies have you told over the past three years? 26? More?

You're a real prize, Steve. It's people like you that do the final convincing for people like me that liberals are clueless silly geese more set on moral preening and posturing that achieving real results in a complex world.

Yeah, because drag queen story hour for children is lofty and wholesome, as are felons voting from prison, open borders and injunctions against deporting illegal aliens who commit felonies including rape and narcotics smuggling and sales, people living on the heroin needle strewn streets of California - and crapping on them too...not a race to the bottom, nah. It's social justice!

The variable that is new is that all of the millenials brainwashed into socialism by the public school system and hollywood and coming of age - and we have reached some critical mass of american hating immigrants from Islamo land and banana republics who have also been brainwashed by liberals into believing that there is no need to work hard and assimilate. Rather, it is acceptable to destroy the country and make it resemble whatever shithole they came from.

You realize that all of that and much more that is unsavory and would have been recognized as such by 98% of Americans just 4 or 5 years ago is now central to the democrat platform......but..but...orange man bad! Yeah. Thanks for playing. Trump will win again hugely in 2020 because almost no one is buying your fellow travelers' BS. You all are insane and the more you talk the more you expose yourselves.

He‘s a fucking liar.

Born
Frederick Christ Trump
October 11, 1905
New York City, New York, U.S.
So what about where Trump said his father was born? Have you never never misspoken? Trump's grandfather was born in Germany. Isn't possible that in mentioning the little aside in an impromptu manner that he got confused or it came out a little off?

Notice that you don't address the meat of the what Trump was saying about foreign relationships, which is the stuff that counts. You focus on a little blip and then make a big deal out of it.

You know who is "a fucking liar"? You. You know why? Because you sit there an act like you and politicians you like have never told a lie or misspoken and you go pointing fingers at others after searching through minutia to find a "crime". And then you act all sanctimonious.

You are, once again, exactly the sort of negative little liberal prig that makes us want to vote for Trump

Steve and Eric,

Let's not get rude and petulant - you can't criticise the SOTU event for being coarse, and then immediately fall below that standard!

Actually you are hitting the nail on the head here. I suspect that given enough research it would be possible to boil the 101 down to very little indeed. The reason people use 100 reasons to deplore Trump, is because they don't have a decent reason, but they hope nobody is going to spend the time to debunk a long list of reasons. When the impeachment managers were forced to boil their waffle into actual charges against the President, they were fantastical weak.

He was accused of obstruction because he used his executive constitutional powers to stop Congress interrogating certain witnesses. They could have gone to court, but chose not to do so.

The president is supposed to concern himself with corruption before giving aid, and as you can see if you watch Pam Bondi in the Senate, there is mountains of evidence pointing against the Bidens' behaviour in the Ukraine.

Steve,

How about selecting one lie from that list - the one you think really amounts to something serious, and then Eric or I can try to debunk it.

Don't you see that if you come up with a list of 100 lies, you put your opponent at an unfair disadvantage, because you would require every lie to be debunked or shown to be trivial. If you had a real justification for calling him a liar, you would present one example of a lie that was verifiable and substantive.

Isn't it at least possible that you have swallowed the Left propaganda without giving it much critical thought?

I mean, when I say I disliked Bush II, I do so for a specific reason - he started the second Iraq war without justification.

David

Okay.
The one in post #1372. You can try, Eric seems to be taking some time finding evidence of my lying.
OK - so you think accidentally mixing up his father and his grandfather in a side remark of a serious discussion is a substantive lie. Remember that a lie isn't supposed to be a mistake, it has to be intentional to achieve some purpose.
