Tim Freke on the Science of Evolving Souls |355|

To say that consciousness can go on "a little" after death is rather silly. He doesn´t want to abandon the materialist paradigm.

why science is wrong… about almost everything — review by Society for Psychical Research

I completely agree with you Jim. I also think consciousness is fundamental. How can a physical brain have awareness? It cannot.

why science is wrong… about almost everything — review by Society for Psychical Research

Instead of saying that science is wrong about almost everything, I would rather say that "science is almost wrong about almost everything" because science is also partially right about almost everything, so there would be no need to generalise.

Organized religion: Is it all bad?

I agree that nothing is all good or all bad. If you extract positive things from religions, these will be good for you in the same way than psychology, philosophy, science in general. Dogmas are bad, reductionism is bad, limitation is bad, broadmindedness is good, critérium is good, etc.

NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE OF A FINE ARTS PAINTER

Remember that consciousness is not a cold mathematical robot. It is subjective, what you live, what you are. Mod+ Why David Bentley Hart thinks choosing a tie reveals more about consciousness than near death experi

I think that what you mention is valid for all religions. I don´t feel specially spiritual when I sit on the bench of the Jewish temple if I have to swallow the dogmas. I try to choose the wisdom and the rest stays away as a background noise.

What science-as-we-know-it can learn for the 9/11 truth movement |295|

I love what you wrote, that truth can be a superposition that changes according to the observer ! We have to reconcile ourselves with the fact that we cannot find "the truth" and feel content of knowing partial truths.

    Science...

Nice diagram. Where would consciousness be in that diagram.?

I also have the idea that one can be ethical, and consider life meaninful no matter if you are atheist, agnostic, religious or in favor of scientific spirituality. In fact I belong to a family of scientists who are atheist but still have behaved in the best of ways and lead meaningful lifes. I...
