Charlie Robinson, Taming the Octopus |580|

I think there's a level of bad action that goes beyond explanations like environment, ignorance, misplaced virtue, etc. That's evil.

Commanding genocidal activity rises to this level in my view.

But it's just that; your view. In his, it was righteous.

Evil is subjective... and that goes back to my previous point about humans needing other humans as a mirror. Without honest reflections, we can become lost.

I agree. but why pull the Holocaust denial thing? IMO Holocaust denial should be reserved for folks who want to twist the historical facts.

I equate the holocaust with evil; at least for those in position of authority (e.g., Hitler). I'd faultily presumed that Lily agreed that evil was a thing. If that had been true, then I'm not sure how you could square those two positions: seeing evil as a thing and NOT seeing Hitler as evil. Only way to my mind was to be a denier.

Probably faulty logic. The presumption of Lily's seeing evil as a thing certainly was. ;)

Alex you don't seem to realise that most people here do not have the clout to pull in people to be interviewed on Skeptiko! In addition, almost everyone is here under a pseudonym.

I tried to undelete this, but their seems to be a prob with the "undelete/show" function

This I don't understand. Trump carefully avoided getting heavily involved in Syria as a result of the false flag gas attacks. He also, in all probability prevented Ukraine breaking into war under war during his watch. The comparison with Hillary leaves no room for doubt. Obviously neither was perfect, but was undoubtedly the better person.

I tried to undelete those right after I deleted... I thought it worked, but their seems to be a prob with the "undelete/show" function. I have "replied" to them so they are visable.
Does it really matter? We are all here having fun. Do you need to be perfect, Alex? Fuck no! We are roasting marshmallows at that this bonfire because of you! Have a good time, dumb fucks!

Can we enjoy a bowl of pea soup together, Silence? Dude, attacking Lily Anne about Holocaust shit is the stupidest fucking thing that you can ever do! Nevertheless, lets do pea soup together, soon!

Too many jects when viewing reality. Ob "jects" pro "jects sub "jects" re "jects" in "jects"!!!!! What the fuck is going on with these damn JECTS!

This was a listenable episode, to be sure, but a little too self-congratulatory and back-slaphappy for my liking. The best interviews are when the guest challenges the host's strongly held-to, guarded opinions, if not entire worldview, in an intelligent and cogent manner (& vice versa), as opposed to a verbal circle-jerk where nothing new is learned.

I agree, Charlie Robinson's Octopus is one of the better conspiracy tomes out there, and kudos to him for claiming to be willing to examine material with a skeptical yet open mind, even that which conflicts or possibly threatens an individual's long-held views and/or deeply felt assumptions of the world. That is what separates the genuine truth-seeker from the close-minded normie or gatekeeper.

There are those among the alt-media who profess to 'follow the truth wherever it may lead' yet who suspiciously refuse to touch and entertain certain subjects and information, whether due to the cognitive dissonance it would cause them or on account of their perchance being controlled opposition.

For me, the work of Mark Devlin and John Hamer, as just two examples, is most impressive, despite my not being on the same page as them on every last incidental issue. Now, you would think a guy like Hamer, author of The Falsification of Science, among other highly notable works, would make for an apt guest on this show, but curiously he has yet to appear on it and something tells me he never will. (I do hope I'm wrong in this.)

As I'm fairly new to this podcast, I'm learning more about Alex the more I listen and as I go along. For example, only recently have I been made aware as to his background in A.I. This I find more than a little disturbing and yet this would explain why the topic of transhumanism has failed to be properly addressed on his show, as it ought to be, what with it and its philosophy being blatantly anti-human and satanic. Which is to say, soulless Schwab and his cronies like Justin Trudeau, despite their being more than deserving of our attention, are in the grand scheme of things the least of our concerns, with so much focus being centered on the WEF, a la a stage magician diverting the attention of his audience from that which is right in front of their faces.

Although the Octopus is an important read, especially as a primer for the 'unawake' camp to peruse and ponder over, it fails to address the greatest threat facing the freedom of humanity and personal consciousness the world has ever seen -- namely, the Unholy Trinity of transhumanism/posthumanism/AI.

Say what you will of conspiracy researchers who are of the 'no virus' opinion, so long as they openly reveal themselves to be diametrically opposed to said triune threat and are speaking passionately against it, as many of them are and do, they're fine by me and are the true heroes and champions within the alt-media, imo.

Personally, I'm an agnostic with regards to the whole germ theory debate, but I do know that whenever I've come down with the cold (on those very rare occasions that I have), it's only been during vitamin-D-deficient wintertime and when overly exposed to cold temperatures (the environment), and not on account of being indoors and around sneezers and coughers.
