Fictional Dichotomies : Conscious Biological Robots

I am a biological robot and so are you. This is self evident. We can measure the inputs and outputs, observe the effects.

I am also conscious. So are you. Yet, I can't prove this. Descartes said, "I think therefore I am". I experience my own consciousness. I deduce yours. It is by definition not an illusion. The Turing test doesn't look at consciousness.

My emotions and thoughts can be altered by means of brain tumors, drugs, fatigue, various physical abnormalities in the brain and probes. Burned toast was an early example.
