Robert Forte, The Softer Side of CIA Psychedelic Mind Control |407|

A couple more immigrant America haters that sit in this country, soaking of the benefits of freedom and prosperity and griping the whole time. The shrink should go back to whatever Latin American crap hole he came from.

You’re an intelligent guy, Eric. Don’t allow your unfortunate hatred of (all?)foreigners make you appear ignorant. The father was born in Hungary, they’re both Canadian citizens.

You’re an intelligent guy, Eric. Don’t allow your unfortunate hatred of (all?)foreigners make you appear ignorant. The father was born in Hungary, they’re both Canadian citizens.

I stand corrected.

The shrink and the interviewer should stay in Canada.

Look, I use a nom de internet. My real name is very ethnic (middle eastern). My father didn't speak English until he was in first grade. I have extended family members that live in Lebanon and Syria (all Christians/not Muslims). I have no blind hatred of immigrants or all foreigners. I would have to hate my own family and myself to an extent - which I don't. I do confess to despising Islam, which I see as a violent cheap repressive knock off the Judeo/ Christian system and a lethal virus in the human system. I also see socialism as destructive virus. I think history to current has proven me correct in both assessments.

I do resent all the talk about evil America. I don't like illegal immigrants coming and then rioting about while waving the flag (literally) of their country of origin and demanding free stuff and changes to our culture and system - a culture and system that has proven to be more successful than any other.

America has done some things I don't approve of, but over all, it has done immense good and it remains a society more free and prosperous than just about any other. I also find the position that America is unusually evil to be stupid and naïve at best. All countries do evil and some do a heck of a lot more evil than the worst monster in the US govt ever dreamed of. Others would do the evil, but they are too small and weak (like Canada). Countries like Canada, Australia, NZ and the Euros rely on America to protect them and then their citizens run around yapping and ankle biting America in return.

My paternal family came here as survivors of a genocide perpetrated by Muslims with nothing but the shirts on their back and didn't speak the language. There was no welfare. They worked hard, served their country and prospered. Happy and proud to be Americans the whole time. My maternal family helped found this country and fought in the Revolution. I do not understand the whiners and haters. I see them as spoiled malcontents lacking in perspective. They project their own failings onto others and use the "evil" of America as an excuse as to why they are losers. Ditto conspiracy theorists. This reminds of rotten children that search for flaws in their parents to justify why they won't get with the program (why look! They aren't perfect! The system sucks! I quit!). There's my pop psychology.

Eric, I just feel that ‘you’ put out this this angry macho hard man energy, but it’s not really you. It is, but it’s not.
I don’t understand much of what is said on these forums any longer, I doubt if 1% of the population would and that’s probably a vast overestimation. I just don’t wish to join threads where people are walking on egg shells, being careful what they say in case you shut them down by sheer angry energy! It’s not worth it. There’s no discussion except on your terms. You seem to me like a human version of the present USA as seen by many others. That probably doesn’t bother you. I coming round to looking at things like ‘It is as it is’, and everything is Perfect.
That’s my pop psychology. :)
I am a simple soul, I am very thankful for being alive since my stroke. We live in strange and unusual, but very interesting times.
What do you think of reincarnation? The possibility that you were maybe one of the Muslims that carried out the genocide you mention. That would be an interesting thought!

Steve,
I will take what you say into consideration. Seriously.

I do not think my attitude or approach has been as you describe on other threads; just this one.

I really wanted to talk about psychedelics because I think they are fascinating. However, people - including Forte - kept bringing up all the conspiracy theories.

Am I truly an angry macho hard ass? Yes. When the situation calls for it. No better friend/no worse enemy. Or maybe a better description would be a sleeping dragon that can, usually reluctantly, awaken. I'd rather pick some guitar, have a beer, smoke a J and have some good times. But I'm not a coward or a snake. Not in my DNA.

As much as I will consider what you say, I hope you consider that passive aggressive is just another form of aggressive. It doesn't get you off the hook of offensive bad attitude - and it's unbecoming of a man. I'm not saying you are passive aggressive; just using the generic "you". When people toss out all kinds of anti-American nonsense that they garnered through skewed history and biased random dot connecting by others on the internet that, to my mind, is destructive, divisive and damaging to the soul. I feel like my country is under attack these days from all quarters; actually, I know my country and my culture are under attack. These are not people offering constructive criticism with a plan to repair and advance. These are people who want to change things so radically that they are going to throw out the baby with bath water (as they say).

And there is the question of what to do when people are repeating the equivalent of 2+2=5. My inclination is to mostly let it go. However, again, there's a line, IMO, when the consequences of not countering it are so serious. How can you have a cohesive society when people believe that the "government" assassinates elected leaders, blows up its own buildings and airplanes, kills thousands of its own citizens and drugs the population while stealing all of the money? And why, when these things clearly happen as a matter of course in banana republics and in the MENA (along with killing gays, oppressing women, starting wars with neighboring countries), is the USA considered by people to be some unusually horrible monster in a world that is truly full of horrible monsters? Why the selective attention and bias?

I am not a simple man. Wasn't born that way and could never afford to be. Truthfully, I've always been a little envious of simple men. It seems like a nice way to be. But simple men should not be so quick to condemn others (or countries) in a complex world that they don't understand, yet whose complex systems, managed by complex men and women, they are dependent on.

I believe reincarnation happens to some. I do not believe in the kind of weird karmic turn around that you're suggesting. From the evidence I've seen, people tend to reincarnate into the same cultures, same race and even the same families.

I wish you a speedy recovery to health.

I think that the two people in the video probably are much ‘more my type’. (Relax, I’m married with children.) The irony is that they’re both Jewish, I am very interested in that particular tribe. I would love to hear if his thoughts on Israel are anything like his thoughts on the US, if he’s as critical or more so of them? That would, for me, be a real test of his integrity.

That having been said, from what you’ve said, you remind me of a very close friend of mine as you sound very similar. We learned to fly together in South Africa, sharing cars on alternate weeks. He was just leaving the army, I was a Scottish immigrant fixated on aeroplanes. We went our separate ways but kept in touch for the next thirty eight years, he visits London a fair bit on business and he meets us once a year or two.

He’s totally fearless and a complex man. In his early days he did some work for some guy, putting a thatch roof on a building of his. When he messed my friend around with payment, he went around with a chainsaw and a couple of his workers and threw the roof into the guys pool.

Our opinions on Israel differ 180 degrees ! When he last visited, I was determined to show him how wrong he was. He sat silently while I ranted on about the Zionist maniacs and how wrong they were. When I had finished and being a Scot I desperately wanted him to argue with me, but he just smiled. He said something like “ I love you too much to argue about this nonsense Mac”. And there was nothing I could grab hold of to rail against and my anger simply dissipated as if it had never been there. It was a spiritual experience for me.

I feel certain that I might have felt very different that night if he had become equally defensive. So should we concentrate on our common likes rather than our disagreements? I don’t know. Some days I say yes and others a definite no!

I saw this video by Rupert Spira shortly after my pals visit. I totally understood what he meant when he described the business meeting with the (initially) stroppy client.I had been the stroppy client!

I wish you a speedy recovery to health.

Thank you.
The physical recovery period is largely over for me, I have had to learn how to live somewhat differently to how I did before. It’s really not that bad, others have it far worse.

Many people think they screwed the Palestinians. I do not.

I feel for your SA friend. SA has been taken over by murderous racist savages. Whites have to live in walled/armed compounds. Mandela was a terrible human being.

I had to smile as I read parts of your post, these two excerpts being highlights. Wow, we’d better not go anywhere near those discussions as we are light years apart. When I meet any South African I can expect certain opinions to be relatively consistent, support of Israel is one of them. It’s not surprising, as both countries were in similar circumstances when I lived there.

Another very close friend and his brother visited a few weeks back and I was horrified at his brother recalling racist things I’d said when I came back to the UK in the eighties. That’s how we become living in a propagandised state. I think South Africa and Israel used to be and still are respectively that way. I think the UK is still that way, all Western countries do intense propaganda, the ‘respected’ BBC is one of the worst offenders.

Don’t you think the vast majority of people just want to live a peaceful quiet life Eric? I suspect this applies to Muslims as it does every other creed, colour or race. I think what gets us is propaganda driven fear! My SA friend has experienced a life that most of us only get close to in Bond movies, most people simply wouldn’t believe any autobiography that he might write. He laughs as he says, “I would only release such a book after our families are all long dead.” There’s a deep peace that emanates from him that has grown from all that he has experienced, be it pain or joy. From fighting Swapo as a member of the Special Forces in Namibia (and far beyond), to mining diamonds in Sierra Leone, to being at home with his beloved wife and children.

The ‘thinking, fear based’ anger has gone, he can still get angry, but it’s in the moment, not his head.

I am arguing a lone battle on an aviation forum that has a non-aviation bit called Jet Blast where old gits like me can discuss any issue. What I’ve noticed is that very bright people that usually post erudite material can very easily lose their heads and write what I see as a load of emotional nonsense. They get too attached to a position and cannot begin to accept any counter ideas. They are so tied up in the emotion of the subject (vaccines) and so convinced of a certain viewpoint that they lose all rationale. Any point I try to make is often met with a childish ad hominem type response rather than an objective one. I admit that I must be frustrating to argue with as I’m very right brained (intuitive) while most of them are very left brained (logical). I don’t know if this has changed since my stroke or not, it’s difficult to compare before and after. I know I’m farting against thunder, but it keeps me entertained.

We are all just trying our best Eric, you, me and everyone else, whether fearful or not. Maybe we should all meditate more? I think that would be of great benefit for the world. I used to do so for some years after the stroke, but sadly, I have lapsed back to my old lazy ways.

Btw I am a fan of the reincarnation theory. I think more of us choose to come back time after time. I agree that many of us stay in certain families and surrounds but I don’t think that’s necessarily true for all.

Steve,
I want to argue with you about the Palestinian and assorted other Muslim maniacs and how Israel is right to do everything it can to keep those zero sum game players away from the Jews one safe place in the world - as well as what a terrorist bastard Mandela was (both Nelson and Winnie) and how they ruined SA. However, I'm not going to.

You have, to my mind, a Pollyannaish outlook on life and people that isn't supported by any evidence at all. Mandela, Nelson that is - wanted to cut the noses off people he felt had collaborated with whites. Winnie had the idea that such people should be necktied (a burning tire place around their necks). Winnie's idea won out. You're deliberately overlooking things like that. If you justify it, then you accept violence as a means; which means that you are just arbitrarily siding against Israelis and white South Africans. I'm not afraid of being called a racist because everyone is a racist. In America it is now common for professors and news people to bash on about "white people" and how terrible they are while screaming racism at any criticism of blacks or latinos. The whole racism as the ultimate social sin movement is a stupid attempt to control people's freedom and their very minds.

Like your friend, I don't walk around angry. Nor do I walk around afraid.

Sometimes fear is a realistic response. I don't get people that say "You're reacting out of fear" as if that's some kind of valid critique. Is that from some new age book or something? Like the idea is that we are supposed to be some kind of guru that calmly meditates his way through every situation? I'd like to put the author of that book in combat with bullets flying and mortar round exploding and sending shrapnel buzzing around him. Something tells me he/she wouldn't pass the clean skivvies test afterward.

Not only replying to you Steve, but this experience you describes makes me ask, how much of the time when any of us rant and rail about something, it is our own self which whom we are are really contending? That is, perhaps the 'opposition' which causes so much distress in all situations around the world, is really within ourselves.

At any rate, in my experience, my goal is no longer to demonstrate that I am right and a. n. other is wrong, but rather to clear the need to do so.

I’m willing to state my case, but again, would it not just end up with us falling out?

I call such arguments Zombie tennis. What is (may be) different about my Jet Blast battle is I am attempting to avoid the detail, and allow questions to be asked. I am deeply concerned about the shutting down of contrary opinions.

I certainly think that Israel is behind much of the current ‘anti-Semite’ bull that we are going through in our politics here in the UK presently. They are cunning and devious little devils!!! It’s a most complex psychological situation, but I think opposing this shutting down is vital. Don’t you think the same can be said in the US? I think the neocons have control of your foreign policy, and it’s not good. They’ll take all of us to hell with them! :)

I think that is some of what Mate is getting at in the video, at least that is what I get from it. It’s much more quiet self reflection that’s required in my opinion.

But it is not so simple in reality Typoz. We have to learn to live in peace with our egos rather than have them rule the roost. For every good point I think I make, there will often be an equally good opposing point to sink it!

I do think that Israel/neocons have control over US FP to an extent and I think that is wrong and dangerous. I understand why Israel is being the way it is. It is the only safe place for Jews in the world. Analysis is not advocacy. It's just analysis. People have a hard timing getting that.

It's not just neocons, though. fundamentalists Christians have a great interest in the outcome of Israel (end of times/Jesus returning will occur when certain events happen in Israel, like the rebuilding of the temple)

My approach would be to tell Israel to shut up and stand down when it comes to their more wild schemes in the MENA. At the same time I would let all other players know, in no uncertain terms, that to launch an attack on Israel is to be annihilated by the US. Then I'd walk away from the MENA (though I would follow through on the threat).

Cunning and devious little devils, eh? That isn't racist ;-). Well I think the Palestinians and Muslims generally are savages. Like I said, everyone is a racist. I'm ok with that. It's just the way things are. They hate us too. Showing them love and understanding will be taken as "The infidel is a fool" and they will come get you.

What do you think about the Lavon Affair, the USS Liberty Incident, Pollard, Israel using white phosphorous on Palestinians, or their frequent thefts of American technology, military secrets and extensive espionage?

edit: I see there is already some clarification by the time I finished writing and submitting this post. I'll leave it up, but there's no need to repeat yourself as I've read the above post.

Do you think that’s racist? I don’t. It was meant as a sort of term of endearment, but if it was taken as an insult I’m content with that interpretation too. In fact, I’m more than happy to be called anything at all by most, as that’s a fear of ours that is effectively used against us. We shouldn’t allow it to work.

Respectfully Steve, I disagree with you. A critical mass of humanity is not 'trying their best' to live a quiet and peaceful life. There are those who hate everyone different from their appearance or their religion, and these human mindsets want those who are different exterminated as a primary directive. Our history as modern humans is replete with extinction of competing phenotypes as an overriding theme, and it continues to this very day. Genocide is perhaps the largest political theme active on the planet today - and there are multiple instances of its practice in every continent (except Antarctica I suppose).

Just because a segment of humanity keeps quiet and turns a blind eye to this process, in a passive-aggressive war hoping to reap the benefits once the dirty works have been executed by others on their behalf - this does not serve to make them 'peaceful or trying their best'.

Meditation will not solve this... Religion will not solve this... They have both been given ample access, application and time to prove their mettle - and have failed. There is a peace which is punctuated by extinction. That peace dwells only on the other side of ignorance.

We are at an inflection point as humanity. The old common wisdoms have to change or this planet is lost.

Agree. That is what my experience and studies tell me. Peace comes through vigilance and strength and the willingness to back up the threat of extreme violence - and kindness will always be taken for weakness in a competitive world.

Only a deranged person wants to exercise extreme violence, but only a fool fails to cultivate that capability.

The hyenas always resent the lion. They think him a tyrant and bully. This is because the hyenas are weak and are not able to dominate and kill to the extent they'd like to, even when they congregate in a mob.

That is image that comes to my mind amidst all the anti-American prattle.

The new age meditator types are just feeling holier than thou while benefitting from the activities of the hyenas or lion; depending on what society they live in.

Thus it has always been and always will be.

If there were a planet with 9 billion meditating total pacifists and a mere 100,000 aggressive barbarian psychopaths, the psychopaths would brutally kill and rule over the 9 billion.

There are a lot more than 100,000 aggressive psychopaths in the world and a heck of a lot more people who will do their bidding for whatever reasons.

Everything must stay in balance. A society that is too yin is out of balance and will not survive. A society that is too yan is out of balance and will not survive.

Sorry. I don't make the rules. I just call them as I see them.

I have gotten myself into desperate emotional places from time to time in life, as many people do, and have had times where my cognition has seriously lapsed because of the intensity of the emotions--these experiences definitely feel like altered states.... A lot of the time, when I think of the different kinds of miserable altered states, I tend to slide into a more materialist paradigm to explain it. I'm not too worried about this tendency of mine; I think we all have to cope with the tough shit in life however we can, right?
well... Thanks for this awesome openness... really hit home for me as I've been trying to understand my tendency to shut down my heart in order to avoid this experience. I've developed a great mastery of it :-) reversing the process has been more of a challenge :)

Alex, I am familiar with various angles and I see no reason to doubt that Oswald acted alone.

The only smoking gun - the only real evidence - points to Oswald. He was a wild card. The one you never figure; like the guy who killed John Lennon, or Squeaky trying to shoot Ford, or Hinkley popping off at Reagan. Oswald was able to accomplish his lone wolf mission because he was well trained by the USMC. It was an easy shot to make. Less than 100 yrds. The guy was a malcontent like Bradley Manning. The various agencies screwed up by not watching him closer. They were probably resource short and who would have guessed that Oswald would go that far? Kind of like the dummies that missed 9/11 coming. A couple FBI guys were concerned about muslims taking flight lessons, but the agencies had other priorities. Now we have America hating muslims in congress. They are a high security risk, IMO. But we can't do anything about it because of ideology and group think (in this case fears of being "racist"). Incompetence abounds. The conspiracy theories are based on misinformation about ballistics, etc and something like that game...what was it...the four degrees of Kevin Bacon (or something like that). Presidents and CIA guys disagree all the time. The CIA doesn't go and bump them off*. An extended family member (my wife's Uncle/mother in law's brother was the CIA station chief in Mexico City - since that station figures into some conspiracy theories) Great guy/great patriot. A guy like that isn't going to help kill the POTUS. These conspiracy theories are mostly BS. Some people look in the night sky and see the Greek constellations. Others see some totally different pattern. I just see stars.

* caveat = this recent attempt to get Trump out of office using phony dossiers, etc. People who have a long history in the intelligence community say that the crew of miscreants assembled under Obama was unprecedented. What was done to Trump is without historic parallel. But notice that they are being caught. Just as the Mafia/La Cosa Nostra also came to the light of day as a international Italian criminal organization. Also note that in both instances the evidence came from within (Admiral Rogers of the NSA went to Trump immediately after the election and informed of the coup attempt, spying, etc.). Informants from within the mafia testified as to how the organization works. The conspiracies cannot hold together because there is no organization on earth that consists of people who are of one mind. All organizations have people with different motives, different levels of dedication, different world views; not to mention personal motives for throwing others to the wolves. It's always like herding cats. The "CIA" is no different.
not even a close call IMO:
Episode 287 – Meet Lee Harvey Oswald, Sheep ... - The Corbett Report

Hi David,

I'm a bit late to this discussion but it does seem there is a wide range of knowledge and opinions on the topic. For anyone looking for more background info there are several documentaries. There is one called "The Net: LSD, The Unibomber, and the Internet" I saw about a decade ago and my initial reaction was "no way" this could have happened and it was the first time I ever heard of MKULTRA. It's German with English Subtitles. I can't speak for the accuracy of the material, I though I suspect Robert can.

I think it is free on Youtube but I didn't test the link:
https://doorofperception.com/2015/11/the-net-the-unabomber-lsd-and-the-internet/

A more recent one is a Mini-Series on Netflix called "Wormwood", and it's about the incident involving Frank Olson, the CIA, LSD and what eventually led to the disclosure of MKULTRA via the Church Commission in the 1970's. I think Allen Dulles has his fingerprints on this as well.

https://www.fredericknewspost.com/n...cle_dc92b9a5-96c5-518c-9bd8-cb39905e3402.html

Finally regarding the chemists and source materials, there is another film called "Orange Sunshine" that addresses that topic. That stuff isn't easy to synthesize, so it's not coming out of a bathtub. I forget if it's covered in this movie or somewhere else, but the sources were very few, and The Grateful Dead Tours were like the Amway Distribution Channel.
On Amazon Prime:

There's plenty of evidence out there that points back to the government, mind control, social engineering, etc. What varies even greatly are the theories around why, such as simply discrediting the Hippy/Anti Vietnam Movement, to many darker and broader theories around social engineering and profiteering.

I agree with Robert's follow up statements, follow the money and consider the power the Drug Laws provided the government for selective enforcement moving forward.
great sharing. thx.

The CIA invented the term "conspiracy theory" in order to throw people off the truth. Just sayin'.
